A Salute to the AVG Flying Tigers

Mrs. Idaho International Melanie DeMure was at the Salute to the AVG Flying Tigers at the Nampa Warhawk Museum who host one of the largest gatherings of P-40's in the world since WWII. They had 4 - 7 Curtiss P-40's at this event to honor the Men and Woman who served to protect China and keep the Burma Road open as the original members of the American Volunteer Group (AVG). Nicknamed the "Flying Tigers", the Fighter Pilots of the AVG of course made the Curtiss P-40 famous with their colorful paint jobs and vicious shark mouths painted on their cowlings.
